Motorola Defy Mini is a good choice for people who are looking for a budget smartphone. This is a smaller version of Defy, which was a huge hit in the smartphone segment. Like its previous version, Defy Mini is also resistant to water and dust. Its screen is protected by the strong and durable gorilla glass that withstands everyday wear and tear to a great extent.

The looks of this device are pretty much normal. The plastic slab is not as great as it should be. However, you need to keep in mind that the primary aim of the mobile phone is to offer functionality and not to impress people with its looks. In spite of the plastic feel, the body of the phone is well-built. This phone weighs just a 107 grams and this is a big plus point for it. The body is streamlined and is slightly thick on the back side. However, it fits in your pocket easily. There is a microUSD as well as 3.5 mm jack slot on the top edge of the phone.

It has got a display screen measuring 3.2 inches that consists of some great viewing angles and brilliant color reproduction. The screen resolution is 320 by 480 pixels, which is pretty decent. However, sometimes it becomes very difficult to read the smaller text on this phone and thus you will end up zooming text several times.

The presence of Android 2.3.6 Version Gingerbread along with the popular MotoSwitch user interface makes Motorola Defy Mini a fast device. Apart from this, you will find some really useful widgets on this phone. Swype is pre-installed and is of great help in typing texts and emails. There is also an application called "Dashboard" in this phone which makes Defy Mini even more interesting. It consist of a pedometer, chronometer and also a counter that helps you to keep a check on the calories burnt, energy spent etc. Motorola Defy Mini is powered by a processor of 600 MHz single core processor that is backed by 512 MB of RAM. You will get a 2GB microSD card along with this phone, thereby giving you additional storage space.
